User Lifecycle Management

1

User Registration

New users are registered with basic information, email verification, and initial role assignment based on their position and responsibilities.

2

Role Assignment

Users are assigned appropriate roles with specific permissions that align with their job responsibilities and project access requirements.

3

Active Usage

Users actively use the platform with their assigned permissions, accessing projects, completing tasks, and contributing to project documentation.

4

Account Management

Ongoing account management including password updates, role changes, permission modifications, and account deactivation when needed.

Best Practices

Principle of Least Privilege

Grant users only the minimum permissions necessary to perform their job functions. Regularly review and adjust permissions as roles change.

Regular Access Reviews

Conduct periodic reviews of user access and permissions to ensure they remain appropriate and remove access for users who no longer need it.

Strong Authentication

Enforce strong password policies and enable multi-factor authentication for all users, especially those with administrative privileges.

Audit Trail Maintenance

Maintain comprehensive logs of user activities, login attempts, and permission changes for security monitoring and compliance purposes.
